Hands-On Party Fun
Looking for a unique, fun, and creative party experience for your child? We come to you! Our much-loved birthday celebrations have gone mobile and now the fun is wherever you are! Whether it’s in your backyard, living room or community center, we bring the magic of our parties directly to your doorstep. We handle the setup, activities and entertainment and then take everything with us so you don’t have any clean up!
Parties Include:
- A 1.5 - 2 hour private party on location - in your home, backyard, community centre, or a local park.
- Hands-on art, science and/or engineering activities personalized to your guest's ages and party theme (this can include clay, slime, liquid water colour painting, spin painting, fabric art, personalized magnet design, and/or birthday banner design)
- A special take-home work of art for each guest (choose one from a selection of premium take home activities!)
- Splatter Paint Tent
- 360 Photo Booth
- Bubble Machine (for outdoor parties only)
- Activity Tables and Stools
- 10x10 Tent (as needed)
- Art Smocks, Paper Towels, Wipes, Drop Cloths
Parties cost $390.00 +hst for up to 10 children. Additional children are $18.50 each.
*A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking.
*Please note that parties hosting more than 15 children are required to add an additional 30 minutes of party time.
Mobile Parties: Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum number of guests?
We can accommodate any number of children for your party! Child guest count will be confirmed 1 week before the party date.
Do you supply food and drinks?
We bring the entertainment! But we do not provide any food or beverages for your party.
Do you supply dinnerware?
No. Hosts are required to provide their own plates, cups, napkins and cutlery. Please note that TinkerLab does provide table cloths and drop cloths while children are creating.
How early do you come to set up?
TinkerLab staff arrive approximately 30 minutes before the activity time to set up. We will confirm spacing the week before the party date to ensure we have sufficient room for tables, stools, Photo Booth, tents, etc.
How do I book a party?
Interested in booking? Don't wait! We typically book 1 - 2 months in advance. Be sure to secure the date and time you are interested in today! Email us, info@tinkerlabforkids.com to inquire about a party date today!
1.5 - 2 hours might not be enough time for us. Can we add on additional time?
Of course! We are happy to add on additional time, in half hour increments, at the time of booking. We cannot guarantee that additional time will be available on your party date unless the time is confirmed at the time of booking.
How do I hold a party date?
Birthday party bookings are on a first come, first serve basis. To reserve a party date and time, TinkerLab must receive a deposit. We cannot hold a party date/time until a deposit has been received.
When do I confirm the details of the party, like number of guests and activity choice?
You will receive an email on the Monday before the party to confirm the number of guests and activity choice. We need all details confirmed by the Monday evening before the party so we can prepare materials and sufficient staffing for the number of guests. You will be charged for the number of guests confirmed at this time.
When is payment made? How do I pay?
You will be sent an invoice on the Monday before the party with the confirmed number of guests. We require payment made via e-transfer by the Tuesday evening before the party.
Cancelation Policy:
We appreciate as much notice as possible for canceled parties. Refunds are not provided on party deposits and cannot be deferred to a different party date. Rescheduling a party requires an updated party deposit.

Paints, pastels, gems and jewels!

What kid doesn't love donuts?A special project complete with icing and sprinkles!
Mario Mystery Cubes
Gusts will paint a build their mystery cube a light it up with a simple LED circuit.

Have a young scientist at home? Build a volcano and watch it erupt!

Young engineers will create a small moving bot that zooms around the table.

Personalize your guest's take home project with their name or group image. Children will then add wood images and characters that are inspired by their personal interests.
